This card deck connects the traditional structure and meanings of a tarot deck with the stories and folk wisdom of Celtic lore.

Because I wanted the project to honor the source material and feel as authentic as possible, developing the script demanded weeks of research. In the end, I located seventy-eight characters, stories, and tales that corresponded very clearly with popular Tarot card meanings The resulting deck connected tarot readers and collectors with unfamiliar Celtic myths and fables, and also provided those with a detailed knowledge of Celtic lore with a valuable tool for learning more about Tarot.

Creating this deck taught me a great deal about organizing hundreds of research notes into a massive database, enabling me to search for and find key correspondences using tags and keyword searches.

The deck was originally published as a box set, which included a detailed 50,000-word book revealing the story behind every card. The kit is out of print, but the deck alone (with a very basic “little white book” of card meanings) is still available on
